Nanoparticles describes elements or components in an atomic or molecular scale and as a wide variety of potential applications.
Going to the molecular level for example enables us to take advantage of nanoparticles dramatically increased surface area to volume ratio. When brought into a bulk material, nanoparticles can strongly influence the mechanical properties of the material, like stiffness or elasticity. Introducing nanoparticles into the rubber compound enable us to reach further grip level both on wet and dry.
